Using MortalPins
These terms apply when you use mortalpins.com, buy from our store, or use your account, the Archive, the Nexus card game and trading. By using MortalPins you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
Accounts
- You must be at least 13 to create an account. If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission, and they are responsible for purchases.
- Keep your sign-in details private. You are responsible for activity on your account; tell us if you think someone else used it.
- One person, one account. Usernames must not impersonate others or be offensive.
Orders, payment and shipping
- Prices are shown at checkout. Payments are processed by Square.
- An order is accepted once payment succeeds and you receive a confirmation. We may cancel and refund an order if an item is unavailable or a price was clearly wrong.
- Shipping costs and any free-shipping threshold are shown at checkout. Delivery times are estimates.
- We ship to US addresses only, by USPS. Returns, refunds and shipping problems follow our refund & shipping policy, which is also shown at checkout.
- Promo and referral codes have the conditions shown with them, can't be exchanged for cash, and may be limited to one use or new customers.
Products, codes and artifacts
- Each artifact, and each other product that unlocks online, comes with a code that unlocks its artifact. A code can be claimed by one account; keep it safe until you unlock it.
- Unlocking registers the artifact to your account with an unlock number. Editions are limited: an artifact retires when every copy is claimed or five years after release, and a retired artifact you keep becomes Classic.
- A lost or already-used code may not be replaceable. Contact us if you have a problem with a code from a new product.
Power, rewards and digital items
- Power, Nexus Coins, Fragments, ranks, badges, rewards, Digital Tokens, card packs, cards, relics and other in-game items are part of the MortalPins experience. They have no cash value, cannot be sold or exchanged for money, and are not your property. Nexus Coins, Fragments and Power are not interchangeable except where the game offers a conversion, and we may set limits on conversions and daily earnings.
- We may change how they are earned, what they do, or their balance, and we may remove items gained through bugs, cheating or abuse.
- Rewards depend on availability and may change or end. Daily quests, streaks and challenges reset on a fixed schedule (midnight UTC) and unclaimed rewards are lost at the reset. If a feature that uses them ends, unused items may be lost.
Trading, auctions and the artifact market
- You can offer and accept swaps of artifacts with other collectors. Swaps must be of similar market value, and bundles may be used to balance them. An accepted swap moves the artifacts between accounts and can't be undone. Each swap adds wear to an active artifact, and an artifact's condition and value are affected by its wear and lifecycle.
- The Auction House lets you sell and buy cards and unopened card packs for Nexus Coins. Items you list are held in escrow until the sale ends or you cancel. Bids are held from your balance and returned if you are outbid. A fee is taken from the seller's proceeds. Sales and bids are final once completed, and we may cancel a listing and return the items if it breaks these terms.
- Artifacts are never sold for Nexus Coins. You can sell an eligible artifact to the house, or buy one from it, for Power at a live quoted price that moves with demand and includes a spread and a fee. Prices can fall as well as rise, we may limit how much and how often you can trade, halt trading in an artifact, or adjust a price to protect the market, and an artifact you buy from the house may be held for a period before it can be sold back.
- Trades are between collectors and the house. Don't trade for money or anything outside MortalPins, don't manipulate prices (for example by trading with yourself or your own accounts), and don't use trades to scam or pressure others.
Community rules
When you message, trade, play or post on MortalPins, don't:
- harass, threaten, or share hateful, sexual or illegal content;
- cheat, exploit bugs, use bots or automation, or try to access other accounts or our systems;
- spam, advertise, or share other people's personal information.
You can report problems to us. We may remove content and restrict accounts that break these rules.
Our content
The MortalPins name, logos, artwork, characters, stories, cards and site content belong to MortalPins and its licensors. You may enjoy and share them for personal, non-commercial use, such as showing your collection. Don't copy, sell or reuse them commercially without our permission.
Your content and copyright complaints
You keep ownership of what you post, such as images, profile pictures, messages and reviews. By posting it you allow MortalPins to show it on the site and in the game, for as long as it stays posted. Only post what you made or have the right to share.
If you believe something on MortalPins infringes your copyright, email mortalpinsis@gmail.com with: the work you own, where it appears on the site, your contact details, a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorised, and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for them. We remove infringing content and close the accounts of repeat infringers.
Disclaimers and liability
We work to keep MortalPins available and accurate, but the site, the game and digital items are provided "as is", and they may sometimes be interrupted or contain errors. To the extent the law allows, MortalPins is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing here limits rights you have by law as a consumer.
Suspension and closing accounts
You can ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing mortalpinsis@gmail.com from your account's email address. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put other collectors or MortalPins at risk. Closing an account removes its digital items; it does not affect orders already paid.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date above and tell account holders about significant changes. Using MortalPins after an update means you accept it.
